One day after President Trump’s Inauguration, women across the world are marching in protest. I would CAUTION that one’s actions should be held up to the mirror of scripture. Do your actions speak of love and reconciliation or hate and division?

Posted: January 22, 2017 in Behavior that shows holiness and consecration to Jesus, God's Love Letters to you - The BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth), rivers of living water: salvation

Are you striving to bring more people into God’s kingdom? Are your actions pleasing to Him who watches for faithfulness? God, who created all of us and gave us the breath of life, whether we choose to believe in him or not, is constantly watching us from heaven. We are told by His holy scripture, the Bible, that we are to reflect his son, Jesus Christ’s, love to a world hungry for truth, acceptance and division.

As I watch the news reports of angry women out marching around the world, I look not at their surface actions, but at the heart. Jesus said to look at the “fruit” that believers’ lives would produce. We are to model LOVE which includes a servant’s heart, gentleness, meekness, long-suffering, patience and kindness. I see in the marchers much anger, taunting and vulgarity. This is not pleasing to God our father who sees everything.

“All of those cruel people strut and boast…then they say ‘The LORD God of Jacob doesn’t see or know.’ Can’t you fools see? Won’t you ever learn? God gave us ears and eyes! Can’t he hear and see? God instructs the nations and gives knowledge to us all. Won’t he also correct us? The LORD knows how useless our plans really are.” (Psalm 94: 4, 7-11)

God promises to bless the peacemakers with eternal rewards. He grieves for the proud and arrogant who refuse to come and worship Him but choose to go their own way, marching down a wide path of self-determination, scorning the hand of truth held out by our Father. So many refuse to bow down. As with their chosen leader, Satan, rebellion is their way and choice. God is saddened, but a gentleman. He will allow you free-will and choice. This is what I have noticed. People living in sin do not want to be told what to do, how to change. Instead they turn and attack the truth you are trying to deliver for their own eternal good. How loving would it be to ignore a perishing world by saying, “Oh well. I’m saved by God’s grace and they are just hopeless sinners.”

So…before you attack the messenger, read God’s Bible for yourselves. Read the Psalms written by King David. They are full of promises for those who turn from sin. You are promised rest, comfort, and security. Read John the apostle’s eyewitness account of Jesus in the book named for him where he truthfully names Jesus as the Word of God, sent to earth 2,000 years ago to show the path to salvation. Don’t just dismiss this Bible book. It is the only one of the millions published that will go on and on and on into eternity. All else will crumble to dust and blow away as ancient wooden product does. THE WORD OF GOD WILL STAND FOREVER…whether or not you believe.

The second you draw your last breath and cross over to eternity, ALL WILL BELIEVE because the irrefutable proof will be right in front of your eyes…wow….There really is a just God, his son Jesus, Holy Spirit, angels, and hell which was created for the rebellious angels, not you. BUT, your time to decide will be over. Sight is not the same as faith…which is required for entrance into the King of heaven’s kingdom. Believe this while you can: “Our LORD, you are King! Majesty and power are your royal robes. You put the world in lace, and it will never be moved. You have always ruled, and you are eternal.” (Psalm 93: 1-2) As a righteous God, he will remove sinners from His presence in eternity. Rebellious man and woman will join the rebellious angels and their leader in hell. Not a popular message, but nonetheless true. Choose God’s side while you may. Pray the sinner’s prayer. Cry out to your maker…repent and turn…change..embrace love, kindness, courage and presence and life.

Are you planting seeds of reconciliation or division? What will God say about your life’s activities when you give account, as we all will? “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.” – Philippians 2:14-16 NIV
