Honesty. How can honesty be fully employed without truth? The truth when manipulated is a lie. Lies taint the soul and gives permission to the enemy to reside within. Small fabrications, bending of the truth, errors of omission, covering up details that matter, become the lie you claim you are not guilty of. Your lies, you create, may not be major to you, but what are the repercussions they cause down the line that you may never see? Truth does not waver. It is solid, understandable, and free of guilt. My children are “built” with a conscious that tells them right from wrong. When something is wrong, it will bother them. A lie can be avoided when you listen to that still small voice that nags at you to do the right thing. That voice is your directional compass to keep you centered on your path.
Righteousness can only be accomplished with truth, for lies cloud your soul. Always do the right thing for the right reason. Yes, it may cost you money, time, embarrassment or something else. A lie will never be the truth, and the truth will set you free.
