The LORD said, “I AM calling My Prophets to be used as oxgoads for Me.”
So I looked up scripture for oxgoad and then also the definition of it, which follows below:
Oxgoad: Hebrew malmad, only in Judges 3:31.
“After Ehud was Shamgar, son of Anath, who slew 600 Philistine men with an oxgoad. He also delivered Israel,” Judges 3:31 (AMP).
Oxgoad: An instrument used by ploughman for guiding their oxen.
Shamgar slew six hundred Philistines with an oxgoad. “The goad is a formidable weapon. It is sometimes ten feet long (3m), and has a sharp point. We could now see that the fear of Shamgar was not so very wonderful as some have been accustomed to think”
In 1 Samuel 13:21, a different Hebrew word is used, dorban, meaning something pointed.
“And Saul said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you to keep kicking against the goad” [to offer vain and perilous resistance],” Acts 9:5 (AMP).
The expression “against the goad,” was proverbial for unavailing resistance to superior power.
The LORD said, “Shamgar was used as a warrior and a leader in his use of the oxgoad. BUT, the oxgoad was also used as an instrument to guide oxen by ploughmen or farmers.
This was done through tapping the oxen with the blunt or rounded end of the pole, to encourage them nicely, OR the pointed end could also be used if the person with the oxgoad was in a hurry, or if the animal persisted in being stubborn and/ or rebellious in refusing or was being slow in doing what the ploughman was asking them to do.
I AM calling prophets to be My oxgoad and I will use you both ways.
BUT, at this time, I will primarily use you to become the pointed end of the oxgoad to move people forward into their callings, to get rid of things, to receive deliverance, and much more.
I AM calling prophets in obedience to say and do what I tell you to say or do, because you have built up your spine and will not falter under the name-calling, judgment, rejection, retaliation, and other types of injustices that will come against you, through your obedience. You will follow Me and not man in this.
There are many falling behind and still asleep. There are still many resisting the change that needs to happen in them, due to familiar and witchcraft spirits, who they don’t recognize as that, because many believe it is part of their characteristics/personality or they flatly just don’t want deliverance, due to their comfort zone.
They like the way they are and they don’t want to change, even when it is for Me. Many look on deliverance as too much work, or they are afraid of it, because they don’t understand it.
They don’t realize how much more it will help them in the days ahead. They don’t recognize the changes they need to make. They believe they are already doing everything they can, and don’t want to do more.
So it is time for My prophets to arise as My Oxgoads to urge those who I assign to them, to move forward by becoming the pointed end of the goad.
There will also be times, when you will use the oxgoad as Shamgar did, as a weapon. I will let you know each time.
Do not think it strange that I ask this of you. I know you no longer care about what man says of you, or what man does to you.
For you have learned the hard way, that I AM the One to please.
