Go into your local bookstore — worldly or Christian. Walk around the myriad choices of religious books. Puzzle over where to find salvation on the shelves and among the stacks. What will lift you to eternal life as you stand in the valley of decision over your soul’s final home? Do you need to become a scholar on religious writings and antiquity? What if you do not speak Latin, Greek and Hebrew? What if the task of comparative studies seems way too complicated in your busy life?

I have GOOD NEWS! Only one book brings eternal life and salvation. Mankind, as usual, has made finding Holy Spirit way more complicated than it is by trying to make money and sell religious books and advice. This has obscured the truth that God’s word, divinely inspired and written down in his Holy Bible, is all one needs for salvation.

God’s free gift of salvation and how to be grafted into his heavenly kingdom of believers is detailed from the Bible’s opening book of Genesis which tells of Jesus being with Father God at the creation of the world, then mankind’s fall at the garden of Eden due to his unrepentant sin nature, with Messiah being foretold through the prophets and the psalms of worship which wraps up the Old Testament. God is silent for approximately 400 years, then at just the right time in the fields of Bethlehem where shepherds watched over sheep destined for temple sacrifice in ancient times, near Jerusalem in modern day Israel, the angels of the Lord offer the GOOD NEWS that a savior has been born, who is Christ the Lord.

In the opening chapter of John, the apostle, he tells us Jesus came as a human into the world to save us from our sins as “the Word made flesh.”  Jesus becomes a human. He leaves heaven to become the last sacrificial lamb offered for the salvation of every human soul that is to follow. The eyewitness writings of Christ’s apostles is detailed in the New Testament includes the rest Jesus’s sin-free life, atoning death to take away the sins of those who believe he is the bridge offered by God, and resurrection after three days — being the “sign of Jonah” that Christ foretold to the religious brainiacs of his day — the Pharisees. Jesus warns against those with so much learning and “higher education” that the truth of God’s grace is obscured: “Be sure to guard against the dishonest teaching of the Pharisees! It is their way of fooling people. You teachers of the Law of Moses are really in for trouble! You carry the keys to the door of knowledge about God. But you never go in and you keep others from going in.” (Luke 11: 52 and Luke 12:1)

After the eyewitness accounts and letters of Christ’s apostles in the New Testament, comes the closing testimony of John, in Revelation, for what the future would hold as we near the end of the church age of grace some 2,000 years later. God does nothing major before he reveals it to his prophets beforehand so that all may know he is the true God, the only one who knows the end from the beginning. Satan, our accuser before the throne of God almighty, hates this one book and so tries to hide it among many others. The word of our God will stand forever, which he knows, so that leaves him trying to destroy copies of the Bible, forbidding people in oppressed lands from owning a Bible, and having modern people be distracted from the simple pleasure of reading by technology, sports, shopping, etc., etc. to get us away FROM THIS ONE BOOK!

So — how many books do you need for a clear understanding of salvation? Only a Holy Bible.

Scared and sacred are anagrams of each other. One is the antidote to the other. The Lord’s prophetic psalm (song) writer, David, tells us truth: “Worshiping the LORD is sacred; he will always be worshiped.” (Psalm 19:9)

Whatever events happen on this earth to elicit a fear response, choose the antidote: Worship the Lord while he may be found. This age of grace where you may come freely to the father and worship him in truth will be the best and ONLY INVESTMENT that will last for eternity — which is forever. This act of faith and worship becomes a gift for the king of the universe who has everything: LOVE. “May he remember your gifts and be pleased with what you bring.” (Psalm 20:3)

“I may walk through valleys as dark as death, but I won’t be afraid. You are with me, and your shepherd’s rod makes me feel safe...I will live forever in your house, Lord.” (Psalm 23:4, 6) Remember, we who belong to Jesus’ care as our good shepherd will be safe, no matter our earthly cares while faithfully moving along the narrow road of faith towards our savior..the only name on earth by which we may be saved…according to God, our father, who sits in heaven with earth as his footstool. All is under control for those who put their trust and faith in God’s perfect plan.

Dear friends — choose holiness this very day. God is looking for a holy people, set apart — distinguishable from carnal, sin-loving man.  It’s time for the real church to get back in line with The LORD’s agenda for the Body of Christ. Let’s bring back the principles of holiness and righteousness into His house! God is pleased with holiness…so we need to be holy…whether others are watching or not…in all circumstances…whether at a church gathering, at work or at home with families.

Today all of us are bombarded with media messages that entice and beguile us…promise us…lure us into spending..bind our consciences with, “You deserve the best.” We collect curiosities…trinkets….trophies…possessions…experiences. Satan does not care how you fritter away your time and money as long as he can get your eyes, attention and devotion off of Jesus and His Kingdom business, which is saving souls before eternity arrives.

Angels wait to add to your heavenly home with what you send ahead in building materials. Many of our angels have far too much empty time on their hands waiting for us to accomplish something of eternal value which is what they use to build our eternal dwelling place. All abodes will not be created equally. In these last days, we need to prioritize:

• Reading, re-reading, memorizing, applying and sharing Bible verses. Jesus is “the Word made flesh” so we are starving ourselves without His Word.
• Prayer to God in Jesus’ name with Holy Spirit helping when we don’t even know which words to use or how to even form a prayer sometimes. God’s believers started out in unity. We humans have quarreled and separated into different denominations which divided the bod of Christ. We could have accomplished so much more working humbly together. Intercede for the millions who are hopelessly lost in their sins that Holy Spirit would make himself known to them. Pray for the mercy of more time to reach the lost before the close of this age of grace.
• Praise God with anointed worship music that focuses on His greatness, majesty and victory and that thanks Jesus for his sacrifice and being Lord of our life. We need to be constantly singing or humming, “Holy Spirit you are welcome here…come…bring heaven to earth…have your way in our cities and country. Bring peace and healing to our divided hearts and lands.
• Give generously to others of your time and talent. Notice and stop to help others less fortunate. God does not need your money for his Kingdom. He has all the funds in the universe. No! Instead God is generously allowing you to partner with him by giving to advance God’s kingdom on earth, which will be counted as righteousness to you.
• Support Israel and the Jewish people. God has said Jerusalem will be His forever and His covenant will stand. He offers a blessing to those that pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Have you ever asked yourselves what all the fuss is about with this small country that could fit into New Jersey? Very simple. Israel is the apple of God’s eye and He has chosen the Jewish people to bring His laws and wisdom to the world so Satan cannot stand that piece of real estate and will seek to destroy it until the end of time. Keep your eye on the Dome of the Rock — the Islamic temple over the Abrahamic stone where he once bound his son Isaac before God gave a ram to be the atonement sacrifice before His son, Jesus Christ would fulfill that role as the final sacrifice. If it is suddenly destroyed, WWIII will soon follow.

Do not fill your days without sending some of these building materials ahead of you. This heavenly home will need to last you for all eternity. Time and money and effort for Christ, traded here, will provide righteous dividends and you will prove yourself wise in those things that are dear to God’s heart.
